Councillor Graham Mitchell, Keighley Town Mayor and Mr Andy Westerman the Mayor’s Steward visited Airedale Springs on the 23rd February 2015.

After an introduction to the history of the Company by its President Mr Michael Parkinson and Chairman Tim Parkinson, our visitors were given a guided tour of our production and testing areas.
Councillor Mitchell was keen to learn about the programming skills required to set up the different types of spring making machines and the uses of the products we make.
They were shown the diverse range of products being manufactured including wire forms for motorway hazard lights, light fittings and bicycle parts, compression springs used in gas valves and electronic switches and tension springs for pressure gauges.
As well as the products they also learnt how we had developed since moving into our new factory and the efforts made to reduce our environmental impact.
“I was immensely impressed by everything which we were shown at Airedale Springs” said Cllr Graham Mitchell. “It is a huge tribute to the excellent relationship which exists between a dedicated workforce and the Parkinson Family that the company has literally risen again from the ashes of the horrendous fire at Ebor Mills in 2010, and is now at the forefront of cutting edge technology in the Worth Valley.
